Valentine Tins

Today I’m sending off the little Valentine tins I made for a swap at AlphaStamps.   These little tins would be fun to use for any holiday – and you could easily make them into magnets.

Sew Sweet!

Here’s a new swap from Red Lead, the Sewing Circle Art Swap!  So much fun to make, the retro images and stamps remind me of my childhood.  My mother sewed everything me and my three sisters wore:  dresses, pants, shorts, blouses, even coats!  I couldn’t wait to get a job as a teenager to earn my own money so I could actually buy my clothes – shame on me!  Unfortunately I have not inherited my mother’s sewing skills but I can still relive those bygone days by participating in this swap!  Take a look:

Tiny Bird Nests

This project was one from our little Eclectic Paper Artists group.  The assignment was to do something – anything – with a wooden spool.  My spools were covered with paper, then I made tiny wire bird nests with little pearls in them for eggs and attached them to the top of a spool with a little tulle underneath.  Aren’t they cute?
