>For my Mom!

>I had an extra chipboard house when I finished the Red Lead Fly Away Home altered house project so I decided to make something for my mom for Mother’s Day.  When we were kids my mother made all our clothes (there are 4 girls!) – even our coats!  I remember so many holiday dresses for Christmas and Easter. . . I wish I had saved them!  Of course, when I became a teenager I wanted nothing more than to have my own money so I could buy proper store-bought clothes like all of my friends had!  Unfortunately I did not inherit my mom’s talent for sewing and I still ask her to do many jobs that involve a needle and thread.  Yes, that is my mom and me in the picture, I think I’m about 4 – 1954!
